DEALER SPOTLIGHT: MSSR. GEORGE ANDERJACK
At the Bellevue Antique Mall we host a number of dealers and consignees that have fascinating and varied backgrounds ...the one commonality we all have....LOVE of collectibles, history, we are the ultimate in recyclers with a romantic link to the past.
George Anderjack has been a dealer here since early 2007. Well rounded he is indeed : an English teacher, architect and historic preservationist he has 37 years experience as museum director at Sandwich Glass Museum in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, the Nez Perce County Historical Society in Lewiston, Idaho, the Santa Barbara Museum of History and Ventura Museum of History and Art in San Beunoventure, California, . George's link to our Tennessee heritage was that of Director at The Hermitage, home of President Andrew Jackson here in Hermitage. He is now the President of The Tennessee Art League here in Nashville. When in need of information regarding art he is our "go-to-guy" here at the shop. George has a love especially for glass items...victorian satin glass to etched american brilliant glass. His knowledge in this area is expert and he lends invaluable analysis to items we receive on consignment. He has a love for "the rare find" hand blown 18th century glasses to early american maple square back windsor chairs. George wants to know if he is showing his age after sharing this biographic info....shhh....George....I won't tell everyone you started when you were three!
